$ You choose 5 white balls and one red ball called the Powerball.
$ You have 55 white balls to choose from (1-55).
$ You have 42 red balls to choose from (1-42).
$ Drawings are done every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 pm Eastern Time.
$ Tickets bought for the Wednesday night drawing cannot be used for the Saturday night drawing.

* All 5 white balls = $100,000
* Any 4 white balls + Powerball = $5,000
* Any 4 white balls = $100
* Any 3 white balls + Powerball = $100
* Any 3 white balls = $7
* Any 2 white balls + Powerball = $7
* 1 white ball + Powerball = $4
* Powerball = $3
$ Overall odds for winning something is 1 : 36
$ Jackpot winnings can be paid in either 30 annuity sums over 29 years or one lump sum. Winners are paid more if they choose annuity due to intrest rates.
$ You have up to 180 days from the drawing date to claim your prize(s).
$ You have 60 days after you have claimed your prize to state which type of payment you would like to recieve.
$ You have to purchase a ticket in one of these participating jursdictions

$ You have to pay an extra dollar per ticket to use the Powerplay feature.
$ After the drawing, a wheel with numbered slots is spun. This determines by how much the prize money is multiplied by.
$ With the powerplay option, if you hit the $100 prize, and the powerplay wheel comes up with a 4, then your prize just changed into $400.
$ Your prize can be multiplied 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x the normal value.
$ The jackpot cannot, repeat, CANNOT be multipled.
