Non-Profit Organizations

Hey folks, Rounder here.

So we have decided that probably one of the best places to start to look for fair and balanced online games would be the non-profit community. And hark, we have discovered a few non-profits that are using online gaming as their fundraising. Now not only do they offer decent jackpots and fair gaming, but every bet you place on their site is a tax write-off but cause it is seen as a donation to a charity. I'd like to repeat that because it sounded vaguely important.

IF YOU PLACE A BET WITH A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, YOU CAN USE IT AS TAX WRITE-OFF. SO EACH BET IS ESSENTIALLY FREE.

So how can you lose, it's like each bet is free because you get to subtract it from your taxes later. Check out some of these non-profit games out.

Powerball Odds
Hello,
This is Lomarcon Balrog,

Since the Spectrumnews teams has been doing research about the Powerball's less then reputable actions of the past. I have decided to do some research into the odds system they have set-up. Here is a break down of the odds of winning the powerball.

Powerball only 1:69 $3
1+ Pb 1:127 $4
2+Pb 1:745 $7
3 1:291 $7
3+Pb 1:11,927 $100
4 1:14,254 $100
4+Pb 1:584,432 $10,00
5 1:3,563,609 $200,000
5+Pb 1:146,107,962 Jackpot

First of all, only offering $100 for a 1:11,927 odd is really cheap. That ratio means that to guarantee a win, you would have to buy 11,927 tickets, for a dollar each. However that is besides the point.

First, let's take a look at their odds for winning the powerball, 1:69. That's impossible, there are only 42 powerballs to pick from. How can the odds at winning the Powerball be 1:69 when you only have to pick 42 tickets to win? So if you pick 42 tickets up, you're guaranteed to win $3. So in reality, the odds of winning just the powerball is 1:42, so why do they post the odds as higher than they really are?

Secondly, I've been doing some calculations of my own, with some interesting results.

Evidently, based on the feelings of people around Powerball, and the population of the world, and the percentage of people who actively and passively play Powerball. The odds of someone giving you a winning ticket, or you finding a winning ticket on the floor somewhere is 1:42.

So in a sense, your odds of winning by not playing, are almost as good as if you did play. Who was it in here saying, "You Can't Win If You Don't Play".

Powerball Weekend
Greetings,
This is Fiarchra Suikoden.

We've had a hard week. It was the week of the dreaded day of the devil, the sixth day of the sixth month of 2006. Our researchers have overturned some rather disheartening things about the Powerball. And it's a Full Moon week. My suggestion to everyone is to take time out this weekend to honor in whatever religion you follow. Take some time to forget about this week and apease whichever deity you follow. Shalom.

Powerball Employment Identity

Hello Folks Rounder Here,

Ok. Since we are investigating other venues besides Powerball to win money due to our suspicions that the Powerball might be less than fair, we are also investigating the positive side to corruption. Now that we know the Powerball numbers are possibly drawn by human hands and not random chance, we can enter certain constant variables into our equations.

For instance:

We have already determined that most of the winner's of the Powerball are blue collar workers. Why? might you ask. Well it's simple. It makes a better news story if the average joe wins the big lottery jackpot. The newspapers love to write stories about the everyday person, just like you and me, winning great sums of money. And news coverage is free advertising.

SO:

When you go to buy your powerball tickets wear dirty coverals. And if the ticket taker asks you what you do for a living, tell them you're a welder and you're buying for you and several of your coworkers. If the Powerball company wants to play dirty, let's play just as dirty.

Powerball Alternative
Hey folks,

This is Rounder. Recently we have been researching a few leads about the Powerball that have been rather morbid and disconcerning. In short, we no longer feel all that secure that the Powerball is all together objective. Personally I think it's downright suspicious that all of the winners of the Powerball have been from small towns and of blue collar proffessions. And there have even been a few winners who just happened to be senators.

With all of that in mind we have decided to focus some of our efforts on searching for a clear cut, fair minded, un-corruptable internet game of skill. We are asking all of you to help us as much as you can. If you find any decent online games of skill please email us at:

lomarcon.balrog@gmail.com

We have only started our research, but we have recieved a name of a newly formed website and non-profit organization on the web called Beta Prize Inc. You can visit them at:

www.betaprize.org

This organization is a completely non-profit organization that theorizes that the Dow Jones can be predicted by supporting competition and cooperation amongst their players through the offering of a substantially growing jackpot to anyone who can predict the last two digits of the Dow Jones.

In a sense, the Beta Prize offers a better chance than the Powerball. With the Powerball you have to match 6 2-digit numbers to get the prize. With the Beta Prize you only have to match 5. If you match the last two digits before the decimal point of the Dow Jones closing, 5 days in a row, in one week, you win the jackpot.

Unlike the Powerball, the Beta Prize is a not for profit organization. Also unlike the Powerball, the winning numbers are the closing of the Dow Jones, so they cannot, in any way, influence the numbers that are drawn. They aren't interested in getting rich, only in stabilizing the Dow Jones. As far as I can see, the Beta Prize is a completely safe bet.

Visit the Beta Prize at:

And tell us what you think at:

In the meantime, we'll continue our search.

Powerball Population

Greetings, Rounder here,

I just read an interesting article in the newspaper. Evidently, there has been some academic interest surrounding the whole lottery craze. So a couple of papers did a survey and discovered that 20% of Americans conside the lottery a rational and practical way to get rich.

20%!! That's a lot of people ladies and gentlmen. The population of the USA is about 300,000,000. So that means 60,000,000 people believe that lottery is a more practical way to get wealthy than working a 9-5 job. Do you believe that all of those people think that luck is a practical concept? I certainly don't.

I think most of those people believe like we do, that any number sequence and any gambling game has a flaw and a pattern. I think that those 60,000,000 people know that the lottery can be scripted and predicted with enough research. I think that, because we at Spectrumnews are part of those 60,000,000.

You and I are not gamblers, we are players. We do not throw our money into the wind, but we use it wisely and cautiously. We are skilled mathematicians and numerologists. That is why we see the lottery as practical.
